1. Music to fill your heart with peace: Scripture lullabies
Thinking of all the preparation for a new baby, I can sometimes revert to anxiety about those first few weeks with a newborn in the house. When our son was born, my sister bought me volume one of the Hidden in My Heart scripture lullabies CD. I played it to calm our fussy baby and help him to fall asleep; I played it when my nerves felt frayed after attending to my 2 year-old daughter while my son was screaming from acid reflux pain; I played it for my daughter to hear during playtime. When my father unexpectedly died, my sister bought two volumes for my distraught mother. The scripture, set to peaceful music, pressed God's truth into her hurting heart. I cannot highly recommend these CDs enough. For new parents, those in the midst of life tumult, children, or anyone eager to hide God's word in her heart.
2. A magazine filled with inspiration, encouragement, wisdom, and TRUTH!! I started reading this before any of my children were even school age and my heart was greatly blessed. Take advantage of your free issue!!
